June 30: Canadian Businesses Takes Centre Stage at Sage Summit

RICHMOND, B.C. (June 30, 2014) – The glitz. The glam. The lights. The sounds. Las Vegas has always been a favourite getaway for Canadians, but now Canadian businesses have the opportunity to descend on Sin City for an experience not found anywhere else: Sage Summit 2014.

The annual event hosted by Sage North America – taking place July 28-31, 2014, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas – will be an immersive education experience for Canadian small business owners. From gaining insights from formidable panels of business thought leaders to having in-depth conversations on how to tackle business challenges, Sage Summit is a place to have engaging conversations for those who value high-impact ideas, constant workplace improvement and voracious learning specifically for Canadians.

Earning repeat business, growing sales, increasing profit margins and getting new customers are just some business challenges that Canadian small businesses owners face, no matter the stage that a small business is in. Sage Summit features business conversations with thought leaders who will address some of these small business challenges, including:

  • Bruce Croxon, co-founder of Round 13 Capital and former Dragon from CBC’s hit show “Dragons’ Den”: what it takes to achieve success and secrets from the set.
  • Biz Stone, cofounder of Twitter and cofounder and CEO of Jelly Industries: the impact of social media on business.
  • Earvin “Magic” Johnson, chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, and Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Company: how to attract and retain great talent, and build a winning culture.
  • Sean Snyder, founder of TrendTrunk.com, a social community and the leading fashion marketplace in Canada: mastering the elevator pitch and how to innovate and compete against the bigger guys.
  • Anisha Virani, President of Sunblest Commodities, an importer and distributer of natural ingredients for the food industry: looking good at any stage: real challenges and solutions from real business owners.

To kick Sage Summit off in true Canadian style, Sage will be hosting a party for Canadian attendees on the evening of July 28. There’s “no doot aboot it” that the Canada party will be the place to develop meaningful connections with fellow Canadians. Entry will be granted by proof of Canadian citizenship – Canadian passport or NEXUS – but if documents are forgotten, the Canadian catch phrase of “I’m sorry” will also work.
